Nature’s Promise Fruit Twists – Naturally Sweetened Fruit Snacks
Our Fruit Twists bring real fruit flavor to snack time without the artificial ingredients found in conventional fruit snacks. Each twist is made with fruit juice concentrate and natural colors from plant sources, giving you the bright, tangy taste kids love with ingredients parents can feel good about.
We sweeten these twists with organic cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup, and every batch is free from artificial flavors and synthetic dyes. The chewy texture and fun twisted shape make them perfect for lunchboxes, after-school snacks, or anytime you need a portable treat that doesn’t compromise on quality.
What makes these fruit twists different

Real fruit ingredients & natural colors
Every Nature’s Promise Fruit Twist starts with concentrated juice from real fruit – no vague ‘natural flavors’ placeholder on our ingredient list. We source strawberry, grape, and orange juice concentrate to create the three flavors in each bag, so the taste you get matches the fruit on the label.
The vibrant colors come from fruit and vegetable extracts rather than synthetic dyes like Red 40 or Yellow 5. We use concentrate from carrots, blueberries, and other plants to achieve the bright hues that make these twists visually appealing without resorting to petroleum-derived colorants. This approach costs more and requires careful formulation, but it keeps our ingredient deck clean and aligned with what we promise on every Nature’s Promise product.

Sweetening without high fructose corn syrup
We chose organic cane sugar as our sweetener because it delivers straightforward sweetness without the metabolic concerns some families associate with high fructose corn syrup. Each serving contains 10 grams of sugar – comparable to other fruit snacks but sourced from a single, recognizable ingredient.
The organic certification on our cane sugar means it’s grown without synthetic pesticides or genetically modified organisms. While these fruit twists are still a treat rather than a whole-food snack, using organic sweetener keeps them within the Nature’s Promise philosophy of choosing cleaner ingredient sources whenever possible. Parents managing sugar intake can count on consistent portion sizes, since each individually wrapped twist contains the same amount.
Packaging & freshness
The 8-ounce resealable bag holds approximately 40 individual twists, enough for a week of school lunches or several days of after-school snacking. The zip-top closure keeps unused twists fresh and chewy, preventing them from drying out or becoming sticky the way fruit snacks sometimes do when exposed to air.
Each twist is lightly dusted with organic tapioca starch to prevent clumping inside the bag. This natural anti-caking agent washes off easily if you prefer, though most people don’t notice it. We recommend storing the bag in a cool, dry place – avoid leaving it in hot cars or direct sunlight, as heat can cause the twists to melt together despite the starch coating.

Common questions about Fruit Twists
The fruit twists are not certified vegan because the organic cane sugar may be processed using bone char, depending on the supplier batch. All other ingredients are plant-based, and the product contains no dairy, eggs, or gelatin. We’re working toward guaranteed vegan processing for our sugar supply, but we can’t make that claim yet.
If vegan certification is essential for your household, contact our customer service team for the most current processing information on the specific batch you’re purchasing.
Each serving of Nature’s Promise Fruit Twists contains 10 grams of sugar, which is comparable to mainstream fruit snack brands. The difference isn’t in the total sugar amount but in the source – we use organic cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup or corn syrup solids.
We also derive some natural sweetness from the fruit juice concentrate, though that still counts toward the total sugar grams on the nutrition label. These are designed as an occasional treat rather than a low-sugar snack.
We color our fruit twists using extracts from fruits and vegetables like carrots, blueberries, and purple sweet potatoes. The exact blend varies slightly by flavor – strawberry twists use more red and pink tones from beet and berry extracts, while orange relies on carrot and turmeric, and grape uses purple carrot and blueberry.
These plant-based colors can fade slightly over time if the bag is exposed to direct sunlight, but the flavor and texture remain unaffected. The colors are more muted than synthetic dyes but still vibrant enough to appeal to kids.
Currently we offer the fruit twists in an 8-ounce resealable bag only. We’re exploring larger family-size options based on customer feedback, but no multi-pack or bulk format is available yet.
Many customers buy several bags at once during sales to stock up. The twists have a shelf life of approximately 12 months when stored in a cool, dry place with the bag properly sealed between uses.
The fruit twists themselves contain no nuts or nut-derived ingredients. However, they are produced in a facility that also processes tree nuts and peanuts, so there is a risk of cross-contact.
If your child has a severe nut allergy, review the packaging for the most current allergen statement and consult with your allergist before introducing these snacks. The facility follows strict cleaning protocols between production runs, but we cannot guarantee a completely nut-free environment.
Keep the resealable bag tightly closed and store it in a cool, dry pantry or cupboard away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Properly stored, the twists will stay fresh and chewy for the product’s shelf life.
Avoid leaving the bag in hot environments like a car trunk or near a stove, as heat can cause the twists to melt together or become overly sticky. If they do stick together, a few minutes in the refrigerator can firm them up enough to separate.
Our fruit twists are not fortified with added vitamins or minerals. We focus on clean, simple ingredients rather than turning them into a functional food with synthetic nutrient additions.
The fruit juice concentrate provides trace amounts of naturally occurring vitamins, but these should not be counted as a significant nutritional source. We recommend pairing the twists with whole fruits, vegetables, and other nutrient-dense foods as part of a balanced diet.
